John M. Keggi, M.D.
Board Certified, American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons
Dr. John Keggi earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School in Madison. He went on to a General Surgery Internship at Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut. Dr. Keggi continued his training with an Orthopaedic Surgery Residency in the Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation at Yale-New Haven Hospital and Yale University School of Medicine, where he was selected as Chief Resident and Clinical Instructor. He then completed two prestigious Fellowships, the first in Pediatric Orthopaedics at Newington Children’s Hospital, and the second in Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction at Waterbury Hospital, both in Connecticut.
Presently an Attending Orthopaedic Surgeon at St Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, New Milford Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital. Actively involved in new developments within his field, he is the author of numerous articles published in peer-reviewed journals. As a renowned expert, Dr. Keggi is a frequently invited course instructor, lecturer and presenter at universities and medical conferences around the country and internationally.
Dr. Keggi has been the recipient of many honors and accolades throughout his career, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Blue Ribbon Award, Yale University Teacher of the Year Award and being named in the Guide to Top Doctors. In addition, he is on the Scientific Advisory Board of OMNI life science, and serves on the board of Directors for the Connecticut Orthopaedic Society. Dr. Keggi is also the Director of Research and a member of the Board of Directors for the Keggi Orthopaedic Foundation.
